GREAT Scholarship in the UK for Ghanaians

The GREAT Scholarships, launched by the British Council, support Ghanaian students’ pursuit of postgraduate courses at world-class UK higher education institutions. Ghanaians can pursue any programme at 71 specified universities in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Wales. The deadline for each university differs, and Robert Gordon University application is open till July 2024.

Robert Gordon University(RGU) in the UK  delivers a high-quality vocational education by providing learners with the skills they require to thrive in their careers. RGU has consistently recorded high postgraduate employability from its alumni and is known for equipping students with employable skills. It celebrates a high-quality student experience and is currently ranked 2nd in Scotland and top 10 in the UK for student satisfaction (THE’s positivity measure, NSS 2023).

GREAT Scholarship Award

The scholarship programme offers financial support of £10,000 to students pursuing one-year postgraduate study in the UK. Students can apply for courses in a range of subjects. Students selected for this prestigious scholarship will be expected to be ambassadors of Robert Gordon University and, upon completion of their master’s programme, act as ambassadors for the GREAT scholarship, possibly speaking with future students interested in studying in the UK to share their experience.

Countries Eligible to Apply:  Ghana, India, and  Pakistan.

Eligible Courses: All postgraduate subjects at Robert Gordon University

Mode of Study and Residency: Full-time and on-campus

Deadline: 5th  July, 2024

Requirements

  • To be eligible, applicants must have met all conditions by 19 May 2024
  • Be a citizen of Ghana, India or Pakistan
  • Have an undergraduate degree that will enable you to gain entry into a postgraduate programme at a UK university.
  • Active in the field with work experience or with a proven interest in the proposed subject area.
  • Meet the English language requirement of the UK Higher Education Institution.
